Tambov State Technical University held a round table meeting, with the participation of international experts, to discuss problems of energy saving and energy efficiency in construction

 

On July 3, 2019 Tambov State Technical University held  the IVth International Scientific and Practical Conference " Sustainable Development of the Region: Architecture, Construction, Transport ". Within the framework of the conference a round table meeting was organized, bringing together international experts from University of Applied Sciences Amberg-Weiden (Germany) and representatives of industrial enterprises and utilities companies located in Tambov.

 The participants of the discussion tried to answer many topical issues on the interaction of the Tambov State Technical University with industries, such as: the required student's level of competence, the demand for graduates in the labor market, the introduction of innovative educational technologies in the educational process, based on the experience of the international project ERASMUS+ "Master Degree in Innovative Technologies in Energy Efficient Buildings for Russian & Armenian Universities and Stakeholders – «MARUEEB»

First group of Master students defended their final research projects in the framework of new Master program "Design, construction and maintenance of energy-efficient buildings"

On June 26, first group of TSTU Master students defended their final research projects in the framework of the new Master program "Design, construction and maintenance of energy-efficient buildings". This program was developed and introduced in Tambov State Technical University as a part of the international project ERASMUS+ "Master degree in innovative technologies in energy efficient buildings for Russian and Armenian universities and stakeholders" MARUEEB. 9 graduates of this program presented their research projects.

June 17-18, 2019

The first graduates of undergraduates enrolled in the master's educational program "Building Design for Sustainable Development " took place in UrFU on June 17-18. 16 graduate students successfully defended their master's theses.

October 18, 2018

Round table on energy-efficient construction and environmental protection was held in TSTU

On October 18, 2018 a round table meeting "Energy Efficient Construction and Environmental Protection" was held at Tambov State Technical University within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Digitalization of Agricultural Sector" and the business center of the International Pokrovskay Fair at TSTU Institute of Architecture, Construction and Transport.

October 4-5, 2018

IV International Conference «Safety Problems of Civil Engineering Critical Infrastructures» Safety2018 & A specific limited session of the Conference is held in the framework of the dissemination and sustainability actions of the international project ERASMUS+ 561890-2015 "MARUEEB - Master Degree in Innovative Technologies in Energy Efficient Building for Russian & Armenian Universities and Stakeholders". A specific limited session of the conference will be deployed as coordination meeting of the MARUEEB project»

 

The meeting was attended by 52 people: representatives of 5 Russian universities; 2 Armenian universities; universities in Italy, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, stakeholders and experts.

The following issues were discussed

  • Implementation of Master programs at universities of Russia and Armenia;
  • Opening didactic laboratories;
  • Printing Textbooks;
  • The impact of the training experience in European Union on the Armenian and Russian Junior teaching staff.

Sustainability international meeting with Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation hosted by RAASN‐ Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences in Moscow

The meeting was attended by 35 people: representatives of 5 Russian universities; 2 Armenian universities; Universities of Genoa (Italy), Sollermo (Italy), Iasi (Romania), RAACS, leading specialists of the Institute of Building Physics (Moscow), director of the Institute of Passive House (Moscow); employers and experts.

May 16 the meeting continued at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

Тhe Moscow event is mainly aimed at presenting, according to the experience of the first academic years of the Master programmes, the first draft of the MEM to the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, in order to get suggestions /remarks / recommendations from such important interested party.

September 18-21, 2017

Coordination Meeting in St. Petersburg

The meeting was attended by 60 people: representatives of 5 Russian universities; 2 Armenian universities; universities of Genoa (Italy), Solermo (Italy), Iasi (Romania), Kaunas (Lithuania) and others; employers and experts.

In the first part of the meeting, all universities reported on the results of the project that was achieved over the past year. Representatives of all Russian and Armenian universities reported.

The results of the project that was achieved:

  • In four Russian and two Armenian universities, master's programs have been established within the framework of the project;
  • 8 textbooks and a glossary have been prepared for publication;
  • Young teachers successfully completed an intensive course at the University of Genoa and the University of Bratislava;
  • The project is successfully positioned in the Russian and Armenian mass media, at international forums and conferences;
  • The website of the project is developed.

Further, the young teachers reported the results of their scientific work. All works received a positive evaluation, and the participants of retraining course received certificates.

In the final part, the project participants discussed plans for further activities within the framework of the project.

April 3-14, 2017

 The group of junior staff from Russian and Armenian universities participating in MARUEEB will go to Bratislava at Slovak University of Technology from 3rd to 14th April to continue their empowerment process. They will meet local experts and attend courses and workshops related to the enhancement of energy efficiency in buildings, including fundamentals of environmental protection. In the picture there is Prof. Giovanni Lombardo together with Russian & Armenian junior staff.

October 10, 2016

On 10th of October first set of Intensive retraining course for junior teaching staff from Russian

and Armenian Universities will start. This set of retraining course will take 40 day and consists of 240 hours of front lectures equivalent to 24 ECTS. Attendees will study several modules: Standardization of the skills, Analysis and Development of Energy Systems, Fundamentals of Thermal Engineering, Buildings Physics, Energy Management, E.U. dimension of Higher Education and Socioeconomic framework. There will be Intensive course introduction, tests, "in itinere" monitoring activity, project work support activity.

October 3-4, 2016:

1st coordination meeting in Yerevan at NPUA and AUA.

 Consortium had a two day meeting in Yerevan the 3rd-4th October 2016. During this meeting the partners established the editorial board for the development of the teaching material to be used during the upcoming MARUEEB master courses.

The members of the editorial board are Prof. Vincenzo Bianco (UNIGE), Prof. Vladimir Alekhin (URFU), Prof. Ruben AGHGASHYAN (NPUA), Prof. Marina Shitikova (VSUACE) and Prof. Alen Amirkhanian (AUA). Nine volumes will be developed containing teaching aids for the subjects included in the master courses and they will represent a tailored guide for the master students.

June 26 – July 02, 2016

Visit to Kaunas Technology University (KTU), Lithuania, was during 26.06.2016 to 02.07.2016 in the implementation of MARUEEB Erasmus+ project Master Degree in Innovative Technologies in Energy Efficient Buildings for Russian & Armenian Universities and Stakeholders.

Purpose of the trip was to participate in kick off events and series of workshops on the development Master Study Program " and its component modules.

The meetings and seminar focused on:

  • the quality management system of educational process in Lithuania;
  • KTU experience in the development and implementation of programs and individual modules related to sustainable development and energy efficiency;
  • the activities of JSC «ViaCon Baltic Pipe» in the field of construction, environmental protection, water and waste management;
  • successful experience and innovation of JSC "Kelproektas" in the practical application of environmental engineering and infrastructure projects;
  • Teaching Strategies at Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture.

The participants carry out tasks related to the development of the Master Study Program "Building Design for Sustainable Development" on the workshops

  • formulate the aim of the Study Program;
  • formulate the main (key) program learning outcomes;
  • create the list of subjects (modules), which form the learning outcomes and syllabus;
  • select the methods of learning outcomes assessment;
  • form group (list) of basic and elective modules, aimed to achieve the program learning outcomes related to sustainable development and energy efficiency.

Program meetings in Kaunas were provided visits to stakeholders and to the laboratories of KTU:

  • JSC «ViaCon Baltic Pipe»;
  • JSC "Kelproektas";
  • Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture didactical laboratories.

July 7, 2016

In Ural Federal University (Yekaterinburg), a short workshop was held, which was attended by representatives of European universities (see the file), representatives of employers (Uralproektdubrava and Atostroykompleks), scientific and pedagogical staff and graduate students of UrFU and SUSU. Professor Skvortsoni delivered the following lectures (see file). All participants took part in the discussion on the general characteristics of educational programs. As part of this workshop, Angelo Moussai met with university professors in India to discuss possible future collaboration.

 The working meeting was held at the University of Iasi (Romania) in which university professors from the consortium took part. There have been fruitful discussions on the content and structure of the master's educational program and work programs of the modules. All participants of the Russian, Armenian made presentations on the OCPD and RP modules, and the Romanian colleges expressed their suggestions and wishes on the wording of learning outcomes, teaching methods and competencies. Within the framework of this meeting, all attended lectures within the framework of the “Summer Universities” for academic staff and graduate students in the field of energy efficiency.

The seminar on “Harmonization of academic approaches at the new master study programs” was held in Yekaterinburg


Professors from the universities of Genoa (Italy), Kaunas (Lithuania) and Iasi (Romania) took part in the seminar. The seminar discussed the main aspects and problems of developing new master's programs in the framework of the project “Master Degree in Universities and Stakeholders”, taking into account employers' requirements for learning outcomes.

During the seminar, the participants visited the UrFU laboratories and employers' enterprises: the Teplit plant of the non-commercial partnership Atomstroycomplex, which produces energy-efficient materials for the thermal envelope of buildings from man-made materials; Uralproektdubrava LLC is the leading architectural and construction design organization of the Ural region; Ecological department of the Youth Palace of Yekaterinburg, in which environmental education of schoolchildren is conducted and joint research on the ecology of soil, water and air with students and undergraduates of the Ural Federal University.

25 participants of the seminar took part in the II International Conference “Safety Problems of Critical Infrastructures” and received certificates of participants. Professor Vincenzo Bianco gave a presentation on “Teaching Energy Efficiency in Buildings. The case of MARUEEB project ".

Visit of Professor L. Boswell to Ekaterinburg

From 2 to 8 April, Professor L. Boswell (City University London) was with working visited the Institute of Civil Engineering of the Ural Federal University in Ekaterinburg.

During the visit, Professor L. Boswell visited the stakeholder's organizations - partners of the project MARUEEB Erasmus + in Yekaterinburg: " Atomstroykomplex" and "Uralproektdubrava”. The professor also took part in the meeting of the Self-Regulated organization "Association - Ural Society of Geotechnical Engineers" Stakeholders shared their opinions with respect to the Master’s Degree Program in Building Design for Sustainable Development, which is being developed at the Institute of Civil Engineering of Ural Federal University. They also expressed their wishes to the Programme structure, Elective subjects and Learning Outcomes.

Professor L. Boswell met with Academician G. Mazaev - Chairman of the Presidium and scientists of the Ural regional branch of Russia Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, where they talked about the training of specialists in the field of energy efficient construction.

V. Alekhine, A. Novikov, I. Maltseva, A.A. Antipin and other participants of MARUEEB Erasmus + project participated in working meetings with Professor L. Boswell in which they discussed the stakeholder's requirements and guidelines developed by the Master’s Degree Program in Building Design for Sustainable Development.
